Great close-up of this noble bird. Wonder how you got this if you were not in a hide. We only have ones in captivity here, doing demonstrations. They have a very fast dive bombing motion when flying, I seem to remember, and hardly seem to flap their wings at all. That's why the fighter plane is named after them, I suppose.

This hawk was sitting in a tree in the yard next door and will let me walk right up to the tree.
However, I was in my van where I could use the door as a tripod.
